Swank Interiors have scooped a prestigious interior design award at the United Kingdom Property Awards in London.
Lanassir Gunton, director of Swank Interiors based near Hingham, was awarded Best Kitchen Design in Norfolk for her recent project The Riverside Apartment.
The kitchen redesign in a Norwich apartment was commissioned due to the space being difficult to navigate due to the narrow walkways and cramped feel.
The result was a sleek design which is easy to access and clean but with warm textures and patterns added to give a vast space a homely feel while maintaining industrial style elements.
Lanassir said: “We’re incredibly proud that Swank Interiors has been recognised at the United Kingdom Property Awardsfor our work on this project. It was really enjoyable to design and a pleasure to work with a lovely client who was very receptive to our ideas.”
The client who commissioned the work said: “I am very pleased that the alterations to the layout of the kitchen proposed by Swank Interiors, make it much easier to use and looks so much more in proportion to the rest of the floor.”
They added: “I was concerned about the use of such dark colours would be overwhelming, however, the addition of the lighting meant that this is not the case.”
The United Kingdom Property Awards are judged by an independent panel of over 80 industry experts. Judging focuses on design, quality, service, innovation, originality, and commitment to sustainability.
